Explanation of fees and payment policy
Payment is due at the time of service by check or cash. As I have a small solo practice, it is not cost efficient to bill or take other methods of payment.
Trip charge: for one patient, the trip fee is $50.00 if typical (non-rush hour) drive time to your property from Denver takes approximately 1/2 hour. For south or north metro locations from Longmont to Castle Rock the fee is calculated at $1.00 per mile roundtrip from Denver.
For multiple patients at one place, the fee is shared between owners, or lowered if multiple animals are owned by one person.
For small animal appointments at the Belleview Animal Clinic, there is no trip fee.
Feel free to ask about special rates for your particular circumstances.
When you compare my prices to those of non-veterinary providers, keep in mind that my services are not exactly the same as similar sounding services from non-veterinarians. For each patient I do a veterinary physical exam, maintain medical records, and assess nutritional status. For horses, hoof health is evaluated.
I am obligated to present you with a range of diagnostic and treatment options from conventional to alternative. Because I offer focused services it is important that you have a primary care veterinarian for routine and emergency care. If your animal would benefit from tests or treatments that I do not provide, I will refer you to other practitioners who can meet your needs.
You can reach me by phone or email. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and giving me follow up information about your animal. I do not charge for short phone or email exchanges. I want to encourage communication between us because this ultimately helps patients.
